● ¿WHAT IS CENTRO AL-MUDARIS^®?

Centro Al-Mudarïs^® is a center devoted to teach people with Pervasive Developmental Disorders with the best techniques tested so far. Al-Mudarïs render services to people with diagnosis of Pervasive Developmental Disorders and other serious developmental deficiencies.

We are a center specialized in learning, particularly, learning of language skills, social interaction and complex cognitive skills. For this purpose, we accomplish a functional analysis of language.

We are interested in using the effective treatments for autism and Asperger syndrome. To this effect, principles based on the science of behavior analysis provide the most efficient tools.

We base our work on the research fulfilled by international and national teams, among them, the research fulfilled in Centro Al-Mudarïs^®.

● HISTORY

Centro Al-Mudarïs^® for Language and Social Interaction teaching was created in September 2003 before the initiative of a team of professionals motivated by the request of a series of families interested in their children receiving effective education so that they learn as many verbal and social skills as possible.

● AIM

The main objective of the Centro Al-Mudarïs^® is to render teaching services to children and young people diagnosed with Pervasive Developmental Disorder or with other developmental or learning deficiencies (such as reading or writing problems). We offer services to teach suitable and functional skills to children and young people.

We also instruct and counsel families.

● FACILITIES

In September 2005 we inaugurated new facilities equipped with the most up-to-date resources. The center was designed with the specific purpose of easing the stay of the pupils, families and visitors, as well as the professionals themselves. The design has been made taken into account the size of each room, the outside brightness, the inside light without reflex, the colors of the rooms, the use of nontoxic materials, as well as a series of aspects in the distribution that enable the use of any context in the center to create learning opportunities. In order to facilitate the observation on behalf of the parents or other professionals in training period or visitors, we have two observation rooms with two-way mirrors.
